This technology is expected to produce many benefits such as increased efficiency, reduced risk, and value creation in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, energy, and medical-related industries. The Digital Twin Center was established at the Tokyo University of Technology Hachioji Campus in 2023* as an advanced environment for pioneering research and human resource development related to this digital twin. The center will develop activities based on the fusion of different fields, taking advantage of the characteristics of the university, which is composed of multiple faculties dealing with cutting-edge fields of computer science, engineering, media, design, medical, biotechnology, etc., and will aim to develop unknown and unexplored fields applying digital twin in collaboration with leading digital industry companies and external human resources.
