~Challenging the fusion of reality and virtuality ~
Digital twin is a technology that uses various data collected from real space to reproduce the same environment as reality in a virtual space, like a “twin”. This technology is expected to produce many benefits such as increased efficiency, reduced risk, and value creation in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, energy, and medical-related industries. The Digital Twin Center was established at the Tokyo University of Technology Hachioji Campus in 2023* as an advanced environment for pioneering research and human resource development related to this digital twin. The center will develop activities based on the fusion of different fields, taking advantage of the characteristics of the university, which is composed of multiple faculties dealing with cutting-edge fields of computer science, engineering, media, design, medical, biotechnology, etc., and will aim to develop unknown and unexplored fields applying digital twin in collaboration with leading digital industry companies and external human resources. We also aim to pioneer unknown and unexplored fields by applying the digital twin in collaboration with leading companies in the digital industry and external personnel.
*This is a collaborative project with Nihon Kogakuin College of Technology and Nihon Kogakuin Hachioji College of Technology, which are schools established by the same corporation.

Under the slogan of “Digital Twin,” human resources from different fields will merge to pioneer unexplored fields.

We will boldly take on the challenge of encountering the unknown and creating new value through the Digital Twin.
Collaboration
Promote fusion of diverse fields without placing hurdles between the university and other institutions or fields.
